Dear LinusTechTips Community,

So today I decided to upgrade my gaming rig from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 (Pro N version) as I thought it would be great and lot's of fun, yay hoeray.

Well, it's not. I cannot seem to download anything in Mozilla Firefox, it will download it for like 2% and then say 'failure', in Internet Explorer on the other hand I can download files if I pauze my download everytime it's stuck and then resume it, which is fucking retarded and shouldn't be happening.

I have no idea what is causing this, I am on a 5 GhZ WiFi connection and I don't think it is my internet connection causing this as I can just browse the web, watch youtube videos without any problems whatsoever.

But whenever I try to save files onto my computer it's just cranking up. I have been googling everywhere and tried anything I could read from regedit to clean boots where I would find out that I cannot acces my wireless internet because all my services are down making me unable to test anything whatsoever.

If anyone knows what's causing this then please help me for the love of god you'd be my hero of the week.

Kind regards,

Pruxis

Niet altijd, nu probeer ik een film te zien op popcorn time mag ik al voor de 5e keer van resolutie verranderen om een nieuwe download te starten :DDD fun

Lets keep it English for the rest of the people here...

Is it only your current pc? Then I suspect some overreacting antivirus...
