Egpu pcie case thoughts

Recently bought a vidock for my mac mini, got it working with a gtx970 from gigabyte...the itx card (I understand the horrific performance loss, still better than the integrated graphics) which is the only card I had available for this project. The vidock case for the card is not wide enough by only a cm or 2. I could Dremel out the metal side and make space, but that simply seems like a waste of a perfectly good case. Any one have any external enclosure ideas that don't look terrible.

The only other option I have would be to trade the 970 I have for a longer thinner version of the same card. If I could find someon that would do that trade.

Galaxy / KFA2 GTX 970 Gamer OC is short and slim. You should also consider using bend PCIe adapters since the regulat PCIe plugs are using a lot of space.
