This was my original question, http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/372208-4k-display-two-980s-or-one-titan-x/ and from what I gather, using two 980s would be the better option. So my question is would my EVGA supernova 750W power supply support a second card with this system.

i7-5820k

gigabyte x99 G1 gaming motherboard

gigabyte GTX 980 (reference)

16GB GDDR4 RAM

1x 256GB SSD

2x 120GB SSD

So basically after all that the PSU would have to power a gigabyte GTX980 windforce G1 card ---> ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125682); I assume it could power another reference card, however I just have no idea about the addition of the windforce.

Thanks,

       JarJar

Yes, I'm pretty sure you can SLI 980's on a 650w, so 750w gives you headroom.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Yes, it'll power the card just fine with some overclocking headroom too.
