Windows download question

Looking to build my 1st gaming pc, and I figure I'll buy Windows 8.1 (some say it has better gaming performance generally than 7). I don't see where I can buy just a downloadable version of Windows, just see the DVD versions which means I'd have to add a DVD drive for my system which was not in the plans.

 

It seems the pirate or G2A methods are not so trustable/reliable. Am I'm missing options here, or is buying a physical copy of Windows along with a DVD drive my only reliable choice?

Pirate bay is trustable. Just search up the OS you want and pick the one with the most seeders. Why would 1000+ people be seeding an unreliable OS?

G2A is reliable also you can get a the disk and just use the product code

You can download direct from MS (digital river hosted IIRC)

Ive seen torrents with 1000-2000 seeds that where fake seeders, but luckily kickass.to has those verified uploaders.
