Anti span protocols on forums

Ok so am i the only one that has been having a lot of problem even signing up for other forums these days? I tried to sign up for bit-tech.net and went through the sign up clicked the link in my email it tells me that i have to wait for an admin to activate my account 18 hours later I'm making a new account with the same name as the forum no longer even has a record of me joining. It let me log in yesterday but not post today it tells me i don't have an account and allows me to use the same name i signed up with yesterday. Another forum kept me waiting for days before letting me post on it so of course i don't think i ever will. Geekhack wasn't as bad as all they did was make me answer one of the stupid what does this box say for my first few post. 

What happened to when you could just register and post within seconds I am only trying to sign up to bit-tech to comment on a build log but i keep going to that site so I'm sure i will start posting on their as well.

The spam must have been really bad for them to be forced to implement methods like that

oh dear was that YOUR computer i just downloaded a few dozen viruses on when you weren't paying attention?

still cant post on bit-tech yet and i started trying to register on the 15th :( good forum set up there it seems.
