Watercooled x99 in the Fractal Design S.

 
Background:
I've slowly been upgrading part by part from a Dell inspiron tower to what I have now but I think it's time to finally upgrade to a full system which I say calls for a build log.
 
Parts:

Hardware:

CPU - Intel 5820k (have)

MOBO - MSI x99s SLI Plus (have)

Memory - 16 gigs Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 (have)

GPU - AMD R9 390x (not yet released)

Storage - 250 gig 840 evo (have)

Case - Fractal Design S (have)

PSU - Bitfenix Fury 750G (have)

 

Watercooling (Not ordered yet):

CPU - EK Supremacy MX

GPU - EK 390x full cover block (not made yet)

Radiators - 2x Black Ice Nemesis 420mm

Pump/Res - XSPC D5 Photon 270

Tubing - Primochill 1/2in clear PETG

Fittings - 10x Primochill black anodized compression 

Fans - 6x 140mm Noiseblocker XK1 800 RPM

390X coming in Q4 2015 I think.I would get something else for temporary cuz' with such a build like that waiting seems like boring

The old bird, Frankie in the Corsair Air 540, it's a wonderful case, just doesn't really have enough room for radiators to deal with the kind of heat here.

The Fury 750, nice little Gold rated power supply that comes with nicely sleeved cables (thanks Bitfenix!)

achHnUu.jpgEven prettier than the PSU! and unlike Linus' unboxing, I didn't have any issues with things falling apart. Had to use a screwdriver to undo the side panels!

Best cable management job I've ever done, thanks for those straps Fractal Josh!

 

Sadly this is the farthest I can go till AMD releases that new flagship. When they do, ill get that and start on the water too. No point in bending the tubes twice just because I don't have the GPU yet. Thanks to my R9 270x for keeping me going until then!

Im hoping for more along the lines of Q3 but until then I have an R9 270x and its still pretty good for 1080p.
