Storage solution for movies

I'm looking for an external drive to store all my HD movies so I can enjoy them in the living room. To avoid blindly choosing a random drive on amazon, I would appreciate the community's recommendation on what sort of drive I should purchase. What sort of requirements does a drive need to have to perform this function and perform well. I have about 200 bucks to spend.

WD My Passport series are great drives that feature hardware encryption and would work perfectly fine for storing and streaming movies.

WD Elements Portable is a simple portable drive with no encryption and a more inexpensive solution for what you need.
