Steelseries H Wireless Headset

So I've been looking into the Steelseries H headset and it's perfect EXCEPT that absolutely garbage they call a microphone. It's beautiful, it's multi-platform, it produced great sound, it's actually wireless 24/7 and has a retractable (yet shitty) microphone. I fell in love with it until I heard it. Does anyone know of any similar headsets to look into?

I own the headset.  No it is not a boom style high quality audio mic but it is far from garbage.  Have had mine for a year.  Sound is clear and build quality is solid.

Unfortunately, the only other headsets I know of with a retractable mic are PDP Afterglow (which have really piss-poor ear cups and padding), and Razer headsets (which are all wired on the PC side of things).

Skullcandy plyr1 is supposed to be among the best wireless headphones on the market I don't know how good the mic is but worth a shot

I don't know about best, but I get the sense they are pretty good. Mic is a boom form-factor, though.

Honestly, I don't think those would do the mic justice, be it good or bad. At least Skype, anyway. There's so much compression that my ASTRO Gaming A50, which sound great on Audacity, sound no better than my old set of Logitech G930 when talking to a friend on a video call.

Well that's what I'd mostly be using it for. Skype, TS, Steam and voice inside the games I play.
