Hello Forum,

I looked into this problem a lot but I didn't find a simple way to do it. I'd like you to help me and tell me how to increase the resolution and detail of GTA IV. This issue I suppose is very common in the PC version and I'm not able to change the pathetic 800x600 (I guess) resolution and everything else. I have a GTX 970 STRIX and I bought the game off Steam.

Thanks! :)

It's a common problem on this game for cards that have more than 2GB VRAM.

1) Find GTA IV on your steam list

2) Right click and select properties

3) In 'General' tab, click 'Select Launch Options'

4) in text box, type:

-nomemrestrict

5) Click ok and then exit. Should be fixed by then.

Just go to the config file and enter your resolution manually.
