So I just returned my 4K monitor which means I have some extra money to spend, $500 to be exact, maybe more soon because I have some parts to sell. What should I upgrade? Should I do some case mods? Liquid cooling desk? Let me know.

Specs in my Signature.

Off topic: Should I start youtube with the stuff I have? I have a nice camera sitting around and an AT2020 mic for voice overs.

Custom water cooling, you are basically set component-wise.

This is Comic Sans.

Youtube is a great side hobby but it's very hard to get started nowadays. So what you can do is when the R9-390X comes out you can buy that or wait for the GTX 980ti or 980 Metal.

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel

After a couple weeks of behavioral sciences at my school I can easily conclude my parents need to grow up.

When you already have 2x GTX970s, there is no point.

I would probably just wait. Your system is solid right now, and AMD's release is right around the corner. Nvidia is rumored to have a 980Ti in the works too, so I think waiting would be the best option.

Depends really, I don't know much about the desk setup but you would have to have a good understanding of airflow and you would have to pay a bit for a desk to fit everything, or if you are handy you can build one yourself.  A custom, in-case loop is definitely possible.

I could defiantly build one, it would be sick looking too, but where would I get some glass and is it expensive?

I'd either go with a 4K monitor, or a custom liquid cooling loop for the CPU, and 2 970s

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Oh.....

As you can see, I am not very observant and tend to skim along when "reading"

Well, your only other choice is the custom loop.... I really don't know what else you could do, besides MOAR RAM....

Why not just buy another 4K Monitor...

Main Gaming PC (new): HP Omen 30L || i9 10850K || RTX 3070 || 512GB WD Blue NVME || 2TB HDD, 4TB HDD, 8TB HDD ||  750W P2 ||  16GB HyperX Black DDR4

WAIT A MINUTE!!! DO NOT BUY THAT 3RD 970.

Your 4790K only has 16 PCI-E lanes, as mentioned HERE: http://ark.intel.com/products/80807/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz

Since Nvidia AND AMD require 8X minimum for GPUs, your PCI-E lanes will be split 8X, 4X, and 4X. So you LITERALLY will not have enough lanes for 3-way SLI or ANY other cards PERIOD.

(This is one of the reasons why I don't recommend 3-way setups and FORBID 4-ways...)

Yeah I guess. I'm thinking of doing a liquid cooling desk. And I did get more ram, another 16gb on the way.

Because the 970 doesn't have enough Vram to run it, it runs "smooth" but it isn't as smooth as 1080p.

I realized that the other day, just haven't changed my signature yet.

Don't pull that crap. The fact remains the GTX970 is already a capable card - especially in 2way SLI. Why buy a new GPU (which mind you isnt even released yet, pure rumours) when you have 2 good cards that are barely a year old. Oh I get it, you're an AMD fanboy.

Yes I'm guilty :D . So many Skyrim mods with that 8GB VRAM :D

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel
