I will be getting these parts very soon to put together into what will be my new PC.

However, I am trying to make sure that this is all good for a PC.

What I am expecting is for this PC to last me at least the next 2-3 years on most games at medium-high-max settings at 1080p without having to upgrade anything.

MOBO -
 MSI H81M-P33 LGA 1150

GPU - ASUS STRIX GTX 970 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5

CPU - Intel Core i5-4460 Haswell Quad-Core 3.2GHz

RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600

PSU - CORSAIR CX 750w

STORAGE - Western Digital Green 2TB

So, please, tell me, do you think this PC will last me the next 2-3 years on most games at medium-high-max settings at 1080p without having to upgrade anything? If you think I should add something because maybe this isn't enough, or maybe remove something because maybe I went too overkill, feel free to let me know! I'll appreciate ANY feedback :)

My budget is no more than $1200 for everything, but I really don't want to have to come close to that, because I think this is all that I need for gaming for the next few years.

And, case isn't included in the budget. I'm using my old case from my previous PC.

Well in that case then I would go

MOBO- ASUS z970-A

GPU is fine

CPU - i5 4690k

Ram - If you want to save a bit just go 8gb for gaming

PSU - Its fine but 650 would probably do.

Storage - I would get a Black drive from WD their geared twords performance also maybe a 120gb SSD for booting and making your system more "snappy"

Why would you need a wd black for "performance" it will give you like 1 second improvement times in loading speeds, and it will cost like 25% more. WD Greens are fine cause they are really the only option unless you want to spend more for a WD BLACK, or go Seagate.

Both of you are wrong, though.

Blues is what you want to have, since blacks are way too noisy and not even marginally faster than blues. Greens, on the other hand, park their heads way too often since they're made for storage.

And Seagate has a ridiculous failing rate.

That doesn't really justify you saying Greens are fine to boot from lol.

So either OP sucks up on buying a Blue and then a green, or just going for a 2TB Black.

Eh, I guess. But even if he does end up buying a SSD, he shouldn't go for a Green if he's going to have apps/games installed on the HDD.

Greens are fine for file storage, not much else.
