Hello,

i got a evga gtx 970 and while i was overclocking (still kinda new to that) i tried to push the memory clock.

I got it to +- 400 mhz without encountering artifacts.

But when i was looking at the benchmarks, i didn't really noticed a big difference in terms of framerate.

So what is it good for and should i probably leave it at 0 and focus more on the core clock?

The truth is that memory bandwidth really isn't a bottleneck in today's graphics cards. I reduced my R9 270's memory clock from 1500 MHz to 1000, and only got a 7 FPS difference in Unigine Valley.

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

Memory does help, but not as much as Core Clocks.  It definitely does help though.

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.
