So I was running OCCT and when just the GPU Core is overclocked or when Just the GPU Mem is overclocked then it runs fine but when I combine them both and run OCCT then I get errors

I have the G1 GTX 970 and have done

112% Power Limit

+130 Core

+270 Memory

I have not changed the Voltage at all

The Card hits 80 Degrees Celsius when running OCCT so I think It might be Throttling although while Gaming, It never hits 64 Degrees

Any Help

Thanks

I'm assuming that you found the "max" for both the core and the memory clocks and then you've inputted both max clocks into your overclocking software of choice and then ran the OCCT test with error check enabled

If you're going to test the stability of your clocks together, I would lower them both and then start testing up from there. I would use OCCT with error check enabled for 45 minutes at a minimum. If you get any errors, consider that a failed test and start over at a lower clock

What are your exact core, memory, and core voltage numbers?

Thanks!

Yeah, you may need extra voltage there.

Please remember, Maxwell's "power miser" nature is as a result of adjusting voltage up and down all the time. If you run a stress test that doesn't let it do that, not only will temps be higher than normal, but you are likely to pull way more power than you'd think. Tests like OCCT are okay and all, but if it fails OCCT and *never* fails/crashes/etc in games, then it's probably a fine OC for gaming.

Maxwell is a bit special so we have to treat it a little differently =3. Hopefully Pascal will keep the benefits of low temps and such without the voltage mini-tweaking.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
