Should I still watercool if I can't overclock?

Well if you want to have silent operation then you could do it but it's probably not worth it.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

I am asking this because I want to get a Phanteks Enthoo Pro but Phanteks is better for watercooling what should I do?

Now when you say you can't you mean you have like an h81 Mobo?

No when I say I can't I mean my cpu is 4770. Not 4770k.

In a way if you can't overclock then the only reason to water cool is for silence but if you want silence then I would go for air cooling.

and for silence air cooling is better BTW

I don't know, that might be objective. My system can run its fans a lot slower with water cooling than it ever could with my Hyper 212, not to mention GPU fans.

tell that to puget systems

2+ fans + pump louder than just 2 fans and things like the vapour-x are silent at full load

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

But instead of 2 fans at higher RPM, I run 5 fans at lower RPM, and I don't really want to start an argument, but in reviews the vapor-X by sapphire is rated from about 36 decibels by teksyndicate, and I found a graph on tomshardware claiming it as 47 under load, and thats to give it the benifit of the doubt, becasue tweaktown rated the vapor-x 280x at 55 decibels. Anything over 25 is a bit loud, and not silent, for my personal preference. Anything around 50-60 is a normal talking voice. (not that you can't go full silent with air, but your temps will show it, and you probably wouldn`t ever get as quiet under load with any air cooled gpu.)

hahaha, this is the water cooling forum, and I will defend it`s honour to the death I say! :)

but still puget systems research says otherwise..

I`m sure they are correct when they rate their system noise, but their quiet systems only use 750ti`s, so your not gonna get as much performance out of it than an r9 290 or something that will be a lot hotter running, and thus harder to cool quietly. Each soloution for each person or PC, whats right for me might not be right for you. And I do have a PC I plan on making `silent` by running a GTX 960 and a passive CPU sink, and since I only use it for movies the fans on the 960 won`t spin, but the performance will be way behind my custom water cooled PC.

take a look at jerrys rig dual xeons and I think it was triple sli and puget said go for air not liquid for quietness
