Crash (x-post from r/pcmasterrace)

Go to solution Solved by Jade,

Sorry. Can I fix it?

Don't worry about it. I just get irritated by small things. But @ stock speeds: Some applications can cause the program to crash due to bad drivers or handling display badly. For example, under more than acceptable temps (40c), my PC is regularly crashed by the game "Damned" because it handles display poorly. You could try to update your drivers to fix it, or switch to some "known-good" older ones.

I was playing CSGO and my game crashed, and my monitor cycled through inputs until finding my computer again. I turned off my overclock, and it worked. I was playing BF4 on O.L. and it did the same thing, but my entire PC shut down. What do you think this is? I have a feeling it's the PSU. But it said the driver crashed as well. Would a driver crash cause a restart?

A driver crash would make the GPU stop outputting video until the driver recovered. Displays would be black until said driver recovered or you restarted. If the driver encountered the right error, it would blue screen and reboot, as well.

Edit: This irritated me so I had to bring it up. Ignore it as it's mostly me bitching. This isn't Reddit. You don't x-post from r/pcmasterrace, you x-post from reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace, since not everyone knows Reddit. We also don't note of "xpost" here, we just quote.

Ah, thanks! Why would this happen at stock speeds though?

Alright, so I have NVIDIA driver 350.12, checked for updates, nothing. How do I rollback?

You can get the older available versions of the drivers from NVIDIA directly over here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us; as a note, the beta driver might work better as well.

Rolled back drivers, didn't help :( I open FurMark and it instantly crashes!
