3570k weird voltages

Go to solution Solved by Queek,

Hi. I'm currently using an Asus p8z77-v board with an offset CPU voltage. PSU is Corsair HX750.

When stress testing with Intel XTU or Prime95, my voltages fluctuate between 1.29 to 1.31.

But when I run a movie (MPC-hc) or game, I see voltages reach 1.35v and parity errors in Event viewer.

I'm getting the same readings from CPU-Z and Asus' tuning suite.

Is my motherboard/cpu dying?

Two things spring to mind:  load line calibration and offset mode.

It may also be a result of your load line calibration setting.  What is that set to?  If it's set to auto, I would recommend using high.  I wrote an info thread here on LLC, which explains what it does.

Offset overclocking can result in some weird voltages, and is generally not recommended.  If playing with the LLC doesn't fix your problem, I would suggest that you switch back to manual mode and see if the problem goes away.

Isopropyl alcohol is all you need for cleaning CPU's and motherboard components.  No, you don't need [insert cleaning solution here].  -Source: PhD Student, Chemistry
