"This program allows by a finding video images with the text(using algorithms of digital image processing)to create on them subtitles files with timing automatically. Using text mining algorithms it allows to separate the text with any colour from images."

Yeah makes perfect sense...

So it's basically a speech to text thing?

No it uses image processing to rip subtitles from video frames.

Maybe it's good enough as is for basic usage. If not, I'm sure other options already exist that you can use.

I don't doubt it could use new features, but with 88 downloads and 3 reviews, it's not a popular program. The work someone puts in may never really be appreciated by many people. Breathing new life into the project and doing a bit of advertising might help revive it, but there's no guarantee.

Also, how much needs fixing? I don't doubt there are bugs either, but there's only 1 bug report and nothing in the reviews about bugs. Most of those 88 users have probably moved on and won't ever provide feedback.

I looked at the source code and the first file I opened was over 10k lines long. I looked at a few more and they were around 1k or 2k lines. I also don't see any automated testing in the project. So that leaves me to wonder how well it's coded/organized. Might not be fun for someone to have to sort through.

tl;dr: I wish you luck in finding someone to revive the project.

I doubt very well

the program is prone to crash or just not work sometimes

It really does beg the question; why have you got so much of a vested interested in this?

If you believe that then the solution is quite simple. Pay SSL 50,000 for the rights and reap the rewards in donations from it.
