Help with OS X - "External disc" issue

Go to solution Solved by Butterfish,

I've checked my sharing settings and it was already turned off. I went into the finder settings and disabled the "display CD's" thingy like @MrSuperb said. Thanks everyone! :D

Hey Apple heads!

I received my new macbook pro 13" 2015 yesterday and i have already installed Windows 8.1 on it. I went into the computer folder in Yosemite for reasons unknown, and i noticed this disc icon that says "External Disc" (translated). If i open it up, i see other peoples MacBooks. I tried right  clicking the icon and press "Eject", but nothing happens. I don't want to show up on other peoples MacBooks, because.. privacy :P I don't think that it was present on my old macbook pro 2011.

Anyone know a solution to this? screens are below. Thanks. :)

WTF I have never seen that before, are you able to click on those Macbooks? I doubt its gonna send your info onto a network or anything, it seems like files of the backups of macbooks on the same computer before you maybe? Make sure that you have all network sharing off, that will stop your info from being shared on your network. Are you at work or something, or those macbooks familar if you are on a home network?

That's weird.

it is just them sharing their dvd drives for remote access.

your macbook lacks this option, as it obviously doesn't have a dvd drive :P

BTW Since Stig goes to your school, if there is anyway to hack into his Macbook and find a selfie of him, do it.

I knew someone would mention it haha! :D
