So, I know there is the silicon lottery so you can't always get the same overclocks as everyone else, but I am new to overclocking (and PC building in general(but computers, OH HELL NO! Fixing computers since I was in kindergarten (yes actually))) and know how to and the risks of overclocking (not much of a problem with a 60$ chip though). I know that 1.3 volts is basically the safe overclocking voltage for Haswell, but want to know if I have an overkill amount of voltage. I am running my chip at 4.4 GHz with 1.275 volts. IF this is overkill, how far do you think I should push it? I am using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO in PUSH-PULL configuration with pressure optimized fans so airflow is not a problem. If anything, I have really overkill (and I mean EXTREMELY overkill) cooling setup for this chip. I know I won't get straight answers cause of the silicon lottery and all that nonsense, I am just looking for some suggestions.

Thanks, and HAPPY COMPUTING!!!

I have to go to 1.31v for 4.4 ghz so you got more from the lotto than me! I say is totally fine if it's at a good temp especially since you don't have a ton to lose and you don't need your CPU to last 5 years

OH forgot to mention, temps are around 58ish C during prime95, chrome, spotify, and MSI command center all running at the same time.

With 58 degrees you could go to 4.5 ghz which would probably take 1.35v but that will probably decrease the lifespan even with safe temps

I got mine 4.4Ghz at 1.25V, but for 4.5 it needs 1.33V and i get temps around 73 on the hottest core during stress tests. I also tried 4.6 but couldn't get it stable even with 1.4V so i just backed down to 4.5. You could try one step higher to 4.5 and see how much voltage it needs, but i do not recomend going above 1.35V for daily usage.
