I'm not sure about the cpu cooler. Will it fit in the case? I'm thinking of going for an H100i instead. I'm planning on OC'ing.

I was originally suggested the Cooler Master HAF 912. I've had one of those before and they're loud, flashy and just fugly imo.

The Scythe is 156mm high and the Define XL R2 supports coolers up to 180mm.

It will fit.

But il go ahed and recommend the Be Quiet! Shadow Rock 2 if you want it to be as silent as possible.
Since i have not heard much about the Scythe Mugen 4.

How about the H100i? Would it be better performance-wise and will it fit? I'm mainly thinking that if it gives better temps it might be worth it since I'll be overclocking.

Probably,

But it wont be as quiet And you also add another point of failure and noise, The pump.

It is up to you, It is almost twice the price of the Shadow rock 2.

It is a good cooler.

At that pricerange id recommend the Noctua NH-D15 for aircooling.
