Windows 7 problem

I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit, and I wanted to install windows 8, so I did that. But when I was finished with windows 8 I tried booting in to windows 7, and I got an error.

 

This was the error popup window:

 

 

What does it mean, and does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?

Did you install on another partition or did you upgrade your existing install?

I installed windows 8 on a differente drive, if that is what you are asking about.

you might try booting via win 7 dvd and then run that repair thing

I don't have the DVD, but I have the .iso file.

This just goes to show you how useless the error dialogue boxes are in windows.

dwm.exe is a part of the Windows OS (Desktop Window Manager) and it says "either not designed to run on Windows" :mellow: .

 

Now boot into safe-mode and run sfc /scannow via the command prompt (RUN> cmd).
