I don't own the H440 but I've heard people say that the airflow is bad. Get an Corsair Air 540, really spacious, great for water and air. Also your GPUs are on air, the front fans blow directly into the GPUs on the Air 540 which keeps them very cool. In my opinion the H440 doesn't have the best airflow, I'd recommend an Air 540.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

What kind of cooling do your GPUs have? If they are reference coolers or water cooled you will be fine using at H440. If not, you might have some issues with airflow in the H440.

The h440 is a Silent-made case and consist of tightly packed foam inserts all over it. restricting some airflow for the silent factor of the case. It all depends on your motherboard size as well!

Please, by all means check out all of our builds on the NZXT H440 Owner's Club forum thread found here:http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/117203-unofficial-ltt-nzxt-h440-owners-club/

You can find any information regarding airflow, radiator support, sound, etc. in there.

My personal experience is that the case is fine for airflow and temperatures sit comfortably around 55°C under full load on my 4690K. My R9 280X is at 67°C under full load as well. These are well below "acceptable" temps.

I myself own the H440 and airflow really isn't that bad. I have my i5-4670k overclocked to 4.5GHz being cooled by an NH-D14 and it doesn't get hotter than 70C, even while stress testing. I also have an EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 in there as well which stays under 60C as long as the default silent operation isn't being used; I was using the default MSI Afterburner fan curve.

I just bought one and if they are reference cards with a "Blower" heat sink and fan you might be okay, if they circulate the air inside the case you can forget it. Two cards, even Maxwell ones would introduce far to much heat inside the case. My own single non-reference one gives air temps that are only just shy of getting uncomfortable with the GPU hovering above 75°C, thats a good five degrees hotter than my last case.

Well then it's time to invest in some solid static pressure fans for intake so your temps don't get so toasty, mate.

After the test LTT did with this case and premium fans I don't think there is much benefit, they dropped £XXX amount on a full set of Noctua fans and it only dropped component temperatures by a few degrees. When they fans wear I will replace them with something better but after those benchmarks I won't bother replacing brand new fans, 75°C isn't so bad anyway it's just hotter than it was in the last case which had completely open air flow and a 200mm exhaust fan.
