Hello.

I recently decided to start folding and until very recently everything went along well for me. Now, it seems like after some time my GPU will complete and finish a WU, but after that it goes don't want to start folding a new WU.

Here is a log that is solely limited to my GPU at time where it would not want to start a new WU after finishing another one. After the large line break I decided to do a clean install of my GPU driver. (And yes, I started and almost imminently paused after that because I needed to restart my PC for reasons unrelated to folding)

My system temps when folding, both CPU and GPU maxes out at 80C with an ambient room temp in the 23-25C Range according to HWInfo64 and GPU-Z

Here is some questions that  @tobben asked in another thread

Just to get something straight right off the bat, this is a windows machine,

Yes, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

with no special flags enabled in the fah client?

To my knowledge no since I choose the express install

no non factory overclocks?

No, I haven't done any non-factory overclocks

and you are starting the client normally/directly from desktop?

Yes

How did you install the drivers, did you do it properly from nvidia's official site?

Before I used to install them from the GeForce experience (for convenience).

However, I now tried to install it via downloading it from Nvidias website and making a clean install and that seems to have solved the problem.

Your last comment is abit confusing :P, the log you linked is showing

the recurring issue i thought the driver change was going to fix

"Bad platformId size". but you say that it works properly after doing a

clean install with new drivers.

So are you still running into the same problems with the gpu slot

refusing to start or is it fixed?

It works for me now. About 20% into a WU right now. I'll post an update if it does not work properly when it has finished.

And sorry for the confusion. Clearing up that part to what I actually mean.
