need some advice

Go to solution Solved by quan289,

None of those PSUs are bad. Not even the Chieftec GPM-750C interestingly enough (CWT PUQ-G platform like the HXv2); however, it does uses lower quality caps than all of the others, and it is not as well priced as the V750 and Edison M - both of which are better than the Chieftec.

Anyways, since the CM v750 is priced so well, I would go for that over all of the other unit you are looking at.

The HX750i does offer full modularity, a much more relaxed fan profile (semi-passive design and the fan doesn't ramped up as high), a 7 year warranty (5 years on the V750), and Corsair Link features. The Corsair Link is more limited in comparison to the AXi, but it does allow you to monitor fan speed, power draw (how much it is drawing, outputting, the load and voltages of the 12/3.3/5v rails, and fan speed), and switch between single rail and multi-rail.

Unless you feel that those features are worth 65€ more, I would once again suggest the V750.

So what kinda psu should i buy i want a good quality psu for my build i need 600w psu atleast i think so here are the parts CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K

GPU: Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 970

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3

Optical drive: DRW Samsung SH-224BB

Case: Corsair Carbide Series™ SPEC-03

RAM: Kingston 2x8GB 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM 1.5 V HyperX Fury Black Series

Can u look at those 2 ?

the cheapest is the Builder Series CX600, but some higher quality, more expensive models include GX600, HX650, and TX650. Where do you plan to buy a power supply? Can you find out what the have in stock?

AMD FX8350  2x ASUS Radeon R9 270X 4GB  ASUS Sabertooth 990FX  -  Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 16GB

Your system can be power on a quality 450-550w unit. Do you have any plans to SLI?

Anyways, why are you only limited to those two units? I mean the Cooler Master V750 would be a better build unit than the RM650, but is only semi-modular: http://www.skytech.lt/rs750amaag1eu-cooler-master-power-supply-atx-v750-750w-plus-gold-p-182651.html

For a single GTX 970, these two would be good as well.

The Fractal Design Integra M 550w: http://www.skytech.lt/fdpsuin3b550weu-fracal-design-integra-550w-p-212986.html

Fractal Design Edison M 550w ( Seasonic G internally) : http://www.skytech.lt/fdpsued1b550weu-fractal-design-psu-edison-550w-black-cord-p-213083.html

Your system will only draws as much as it needs. If you are drawing 300wDC, it will draw 300wDC regardless if it is a 550w or 750w PSU. By getting a higher wattage unit may affect the efficiency of the unit.

Since you do plan to SLI, I would get the Cooler Master V750 unit. It's pretty much in the same price range as some of the 550w-650w, and it will give you plenty of headroom and native connectivity to SLI
