Ok so I literally just built a PC like 1 day ago.

Specs:

Intel 2 Quad Core (2.40GHz)

Gigabyte FSB1333 Motherboard

Ballistix 2gb RAM + Corsair XMS2 4gb (both ddr2 memory)

GeForce 8800 gt GPU

SoundBlaster X-FI

Corsair HX620W

WD Caviar black 1tb

(And a bunch of other random fans and cathodes)

Ok so my problem is, Is that when I built the computer I had internet the first time I booted it up, I got all the drivers installed in the comp that were needed.

I do NOT have a network adapter in one of my PCI slots I just have my soundcard and my GPU, In other words, I use my integrated network adapter on my motherboard (which probably most people use)

So the problem is, Is I downloaded steam and started to download games, All fine and dandy, But I downloaded them overnight and when I woke up the download was paused and I had no internet connection. (there was a red X where the network connection is on windows)

I have no idea what is happening, I know it isn't my router or my internet connection because I have a fine connection on every other device in the house.

I even checked the routers web-database for changing things on the router and there was nothing restricting that PC to not connect to the internet.

I've also tried using different network adapters in my PCI slots and still the same result.

Please help, I need to get this PC rolling.

Oh and by the way, I know my parts are kind of old, But I'm not one of those people who can go out and buy 4x 780 ti's and run Far Cry 4 on ultra 5k, So please don't mention anything about my parts being "outdated"

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
