RAM for X99

So currently ive buoght all the aprts i want except the RAM, these are the sticks id like to get http://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/memory/bls4c4g4d240fsa#productDetails

But i am not sur since the 5930k only supports upto 2133 Mhz, will this bottleneck my system?

I thought that ram speeds were motherboard dependent, not processor dependent.  I could be wrong though.  

In the grand scheme of things, you will never notice the difference between 2133 and 2400 MHz.  In fact, I would be surprised if you noticed a difference between 1600 MHz and 2400 MHz.

DDR 4 Doesnt even have kits at 2133 does it? I thought lowest was 2400, I normally would go 3200 Though

Now this is a swedish retailer but these are my choices, then why the hell does intels site say that my cpu only supprots these speeds: http://ark.intel.com/products/82931/Intel-Core-i7-5930K-Processor-15M-Cache-up-to-3_70-GHz

 

This really confuses me becuase I mean the only platform currently with DDR4 is X99 and to have the speeds be CPU dependent would render those sticks compeltely useless i guess.

Go with the motherboard's website.  If you look there, it lists supported ram speeds as:

8 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3300(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory

The "O.C." means that you will have to overclock the bclk and strap to make the memory go that fast.  

 

I don't know why the processor page doesn't list higher memory speeds, but it does the same for my 3930k, and I know that there are folks out there with 3930k's and memory faster than 1600 MHz.

This is abit wrong exaly.

There are plenty of DDR4-2133 kits.

 

Also going with 3000mhz or what ever, isnt going to make any diffrence.

2133mhz will be totaly fine, and will also be cheaper then 2400 / 2666 / 3000 mhz kits.

 

The big plus of 2133mhz or 2400mhz DDR4 kits, is that most motherboards support these 2 kits without overclocking.

Which means no headaces wenn it comes to that.
