Hey guys,

So the past few days I've randomly had YouTube videos not play, and then I would restart my PC and they would play as normal. Eventually it kept happening so I wanted to figure out why and how to prevent it. Well I managed to figure out why, but unfortunately I can't figure out how to prevent it.

I have a Logitech G430 headset and when YouTube videos won't play, if I unplug the headset, they start to play, but once i plug it back in, they stop playing again. So I was wondering if any of you fine people have a solution to my problem.

I've tried to update drivers and firmware, but to no avail.

pls help

Do you have any other headsets/headphones that you can test with? If not, perhaps pick up a cheap pair of earbuds at the dollar store or something. I highly doubt that this issue is specific to the G430, it shouldn't be able to interact with the computer in a way that could cause that behavior.

Can you provide some more details about how the YouTube videos refuse to play? Does it seem to lag out or does it seem like nothing is happening at all? Does it look like YouTube's player is causing it?

Can you play music/videos using, say, Windows Media Player or VLC? What about other flash content (try Grooveshark, Pandora, Vessel, DailyMotion, something)? In short, is the problem just related to YouTube or is it some global problem with the PC?

Thanks for the reply!

I've tested some of the things you've said, and everything works fine with another pair of headphones, also nothing containing audio will play whether it's from Windows Media Player or a similar program, and no other internet based audio will play either.

When the videos won't play, it's pretty much normal to if you were to pause the video at exactly 0:00, except with this it shows the Play/Pause button as on Play.

I decided to get rid of the mic/headphone to USB surround sound thing and see if that works and with that gone everything works fine, so maybe there is something wrong with my USB ports? But at the same time my keyboard, mouse, and any other USB device work fine.

Yes, I do.

Thanks for the replies, guys definitely appreciate it.
