Audio Glitching/Stuttering Need Help!

Hey, so I recently built a new PC but I kept my old Sound Blaster Z soundcard.

Now I'm getting these weird Ticks of noise, like a stutter in the audio. It only happens when sound is playing though. It never happened on my old computer, so I don't see why it's doing it now. It's quite a big hassle to reinstall the driver and set everything up again, so I was just wondering if anyone here has had a similar problem and knows a fix or something that might cause it?

I used to get this from time to time when my old machine's processor was being overloaded.  This was an old AM2 machine though and it was with an external sound card.  You could check the processor usage when it starts happening and see if that leads anywhere.  Otherwise, I'd start with a fresh start on drivers and setup .

Is it limited to the soundcard, or does your integrated audio do it, too?
