Hello, since my pc is now old I decided to build my new one instead of buying it pre-made.

I am new to pc hardware so I would like to know if these ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7nqVyc ) components are fully compatible and if there are some improvements i could make without changing the cost very much.

Some of the components are generic such as the main drive, the monitor, the gpu and the optical drive.

So I would also like to know which 1tb drive i should buy and what gtx 970 i should buy(ASUS,MSI, or Gigabyte)

A few tips that will make everyone's life better:

- You can put the parts in BB-code on this page. By going to the PcPartPicker Link and choosing BB. Then simple copy-paste and you're done. Huurrray

- Always follow your topics. When people forget to quote, you'll still get a notification. Isn't that cool?

- When asking for people to judge your build, you might wanna add:

--Usage case (Gaming, production, HTPC, Server/nas)

--Cost + Currency

--Requirements (Silence, Ultimate power, ...)

Games aren't utilizing hyper-threading so you need a 4790k.

The Maximus mobo is un-needed.

Ram speeds have no affect on performance so lower speed for cheaper is ok.

When a good hard drive has 3x the storage for dollars less, you know you're overpriced.

The PSU had no listings so I got you another one.
