Hello, I'm looking for a solid, performance oriented multi-purpose PC for a budget of $2700 Canadian, which should be enough to work with.

Wants:

-I need a monitor, 1440p would be ideal but i'm perfectly fine with 2 1080p ones instead

-I would prefer a GTX 980 over any other card, but I understand that leaves a lot less for the other components

-I need peripherals, so mouse, mechanical keyboard (Preferably Cherry MX Blues or Browns, and a decent pair of headphones

-I absolutely need a SSD, that's something that's usually included anyway, but I figured i'd mention it here.

-I'd prefer water-cooling, but if it forces me to go overbudget, it's not a necessity as I can always add it later.

That's about it, I don't need an operating system or anything like that, I do have a build outlined already, but I enjoy comparing my choices to others, and I tend to build off of criticism.

My current build outline:

I saw an lg 22"1080p IPS monitor for under 150 the other day. Got a friend of mine to get it.

Other than that switch out the PSU for a g2 and your good to go

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I personally prefer the Corsair M65 over any other mouse, just has great ergonomics for the palm grip. I would recommend getting an RGB keyboard, it'll only be like a $50 price premium.

Otherwise, great build!

Mostly superficial changes. Either to save money, or simply to offer something similar. Changed the mouse to the Logitech G502 because everyone who has reviewed it says it's the dog's dangles and it's the same price as the Kone you were thinking about. Same thing with the keyboard change, and also the headset (though that was just colour change for a few less $). RAM is cheaper and faster (a no brainer there). Changed the 900p monitor for one that is 1080, 5ms vs 8ms, and costs $10 less (another no brainer). The only major change is the CPU cooler which is cheaper, will perform the same as the H100i, but will be quieter.

Everything else is just as you left it. The PSU is particularly pleasing, Super Flower OEM and very reputable.
