Windows 7 on New Device

I'm building a gaming computer, and upgrading from my laptop. My laptop has a copy of windows 7 installed, and I was wondering if I would be able to use the copy without having to remove the hard drive.

You can download a windows 7 iso and put it on a usb drive. And then use the key from your laptop to activate it.

Your license of Windows is OEM, and that one is non-transferable, as the per the license agreement you agreed upon when first starting your laptop.

You have to buy a new Windows.

If you are student, see with your IT department or school officials, if you are part of Dreamspark premium or MSDNAA. If so you have Windows 7 or 8 waiting for you ready to be downloaded for free. If not you can but Windows 8 Pro for 70$ (if you are a student that is).

Else then that, you can look for deals, but you have to purchase it.
