Molex splitter on GPU

I have 2 GTX 480´s waiting for new PSU and i thought that i could take one to loop already but my current PSU just has one 8 pin PCIe cable which now goes to my Pentium G3258. Is it fine to use molex splitter or can i use one on CPU power or do i just have to wait for that new PSU. Molex splitter will arrive for me tomorrow so its either used or goes straight to cable box.

Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.3GHz, Asus Z97-AR, Evga GTX 480, Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4Gb and Kingston HyperX Blu 2x2Gb, Antec Earthwatts 500W, Samsung HD103UJ and HD502HJ, Custom water cooling loop for CPU and GPU
