How to host HTML website

Go to solution Solved by Snorlax,

l just need for people to be able to view the pages for 1 day. So I think your solution would work.

Yeah that will work perfectly thene. Wamp and port forward. You can face a few problems such as DDoS, so be careful with who you share your IP with. And yes, you do need to share your IP with the people, unless you somehow manage to setup cloudflare to work with Wamp... But I haven't looked into it.

I have a little website for a project that I need multiple people to access without downloading the HTML. Security is not a problem for me. I tried dropbox but in my version it sucked. Any suggestions?

Host it locally?

Can't I just do that and port forward? Can it be running on my main machine? and How do I do that?

If you need to access it remotely, you need to port forward yes. You need to get a local server (such as Wamp) then port forward port 80.

Unraid server: Ryzen 3900X - 32GB 3200 MHz CL14 - Quadro P2000 - 50+ TB raw

So I just run that on my rig for a few days and port forward?

If you have an ok connection at home you can forward port 80 to your computer and hot it on there with a web server or even better there is alot of free hosting about.

I assume by downloading you know that to view a page a computer downloads it but i don't think you mean like that.

Okay you really need to explain this better. What exactly are you trying to do? Do you need to download the HTML files? Do you need to view them? Explain your situation so we can get a sense of what you want to do, otherwise it's going to be hard for us to help you.

So I download WAMP Server and then go to the www directory and copy/paste in my folder with the HTML files?

Because when I go to localhost and click on my project it says this webpage is not available.

Try going to the path directly!

http://localhost/<folder name that contains your project>/<html page you want to open>.htmlExample: http://localhost/newfolder/lala.html
