I just finished building my first PC in the Arc Midi and I can say it was a great case to work with, solid build quality, good quality mounting system and nice rubber grommets that were easy to work with and didn't fall out unlike some cases. The only issues I had were that one of the thumbscrews on the removable HDD bays had been crossthreaded so I couldn't remove it (replacement on the way) and if you insert a 3.5 inch drive into the top tray of the bottom mounted HDD bay, then the top of it will get scratched, which I learnt the hard way, although it wasn't that noticeable and the drive worked perfectly fine. The R2 also looks really good and further improves what is already a great case. Either case is great and you should be happy with either one. Also, not sure if this is a universal issue but I found the side panels on mine very stiff and quite hard to get off, but other than that it's a sweet case.

I ahve the Arc Midi also and its a great case with great features and a pleasure to build in. Same and the guy above me the screw for the HDD wouldn't come out so i had to get my dad to help me get it out :P. Also my right side panel is a pain the ass to get off but thats prob just my bad luck with this case. I highly recommend it! I might look into getting the R2 since I love the new features and it comes with a side panel window.
