Dell XPS M1710 Moding

So i have been focused on building a computer but last night i was thinking and looked over at my laptop yes its old but i can make improvements to it and its not like its a bad computer so i decided on painting the case visual upgrades are covered for it here

 

 

     

 

The plan is to replace the Gray with Black but keep the red and paint around some logos and around any illuminated pieces if you don't know the XPS on the lid is illuminated The keyboard how ever is going to be a bit more challenging i plan to have black keyboard but red lettering i was hoping for back-lit but im not sure its available then the touch-pad is another fun problem the XPS is indeed illuminated but to make it black would it interfere with operation tho i honestly do use a wired mouse
