Hey Guys newbie here,

So I haven't seen anything like this around and I wanted to start a discussion. I loved the recent Scrapyard Wars series and I hope that happens again perhaps with focuses other than gaming. Like a scrapyard wars for a NAS or something. That would be awesome.

That style format actually had a ton in common with certain car channels where, with limited budget they build a car to fulfill a purpose, tons of fun to watch for the same reason. It got me thinking that there is another "game" people play with cars that would work well adapted for computers/software. So with no hesitation I introduce: "The Cheap Game Challenge."

Here is the premise, the lads get a limited budget say 100$ with a task who can bring in the biggest haul of games CURRENTLY to be purchased at various sites with the intention that they can play no other games for the foreseeable future. So the games have to scratch all their gaming itches. So for instance, my list would include a FPS, RTS, and if I can squeeze in a Racing Game I'd be pleased.

As an example of the way it works for cars see

. I think it'd be a hoot to watch and have the flavor of "get most bang for the buck" like Scrapyard Wars.

Suggestions?

Also. what other "non-standard" Linus formats do you want to see?
