Cache Management BSOD

Go to solution Solved by Kevin,

I managed to format the Samsung SSD using a Linux live cd. After that Windows installed without a problem.

Yesterday my system was working normally, and I shut it down normally. But when I tried to turn it on today i got a BSOD with the message "Cache Management". It then tries to run automatic recovery after rebooting, but this produces the same blue screen so it gets stuck in a reboot loop.

My system:

Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3 (Bios version F8, latest version)

Intel 2600k @ 4.4Ghz + Corsair H80

8Gb 1600Mhz Corsair Dominator (4*2Gb sticks)

MSI Geforce GTX780 Lightning

Corsair 850AX

SSD 1: 512 Gb Samsung 850 Evo (Windows 10 Developer Preview 64bit)

SSD 2: 128 Gb OCZ Vertex 3 (Windows 8.1 64bit)

HDD: 1Tb WD Black Data)

The OCZ SSD with Windows 8.1 used to be my main boot device. Until about 2 months ago when I installed the Samsung SDD and put Windows 10 on it. Then that became my main boot device. I only booted into Windows 8 about 5 times since. The last time my pc booted normally I was using Windows 8 however.

I first got the blue screen when trying to boot into Windows 10, but it's the same when trying to boot Windows 8. Here is what i have tried so far:

Unplug everything but monitor + mouse/keyboard > Same problem

Reset BIOS settings > Same problem

Boot with only 1 stick of RAM (tried all 4 sticks separatly in slot 1 and 2) > Same problem

Boot Windows 10 DVD > Same problem

Boot Windows 8 DVD > Same problem

Boot with only Samsung SSD > Same problem

Boot with only OCZ SSD > Boots after automatic recovery

So it appears the Samsung SSD is the problem. Should I just return it and try to get it replaced/repaired under warranty, or is there anything else i could try first?
