My computer was working fine last night but when I went to turn it on this morning I am getting limited connectivity errors. My internet works fine on my phone, and I have restarted my router so I believe I can rule that out. The Ethernet cable and both the wifi card give me issues. When I tried connecting to my phones hotspot I'm getting the same issues. I have tried restarting it and am now out of options. Also I have re-installed the drivers. What else can I do?

Use the windows troubleshoot utility, it will often resolve routing conflicts quite quickly. If that doesn't work maybe your router is assigning the same IP address to two different devices on its own.

The first didn't work, but how do i fix the latter of the two?

You'll have to use a browser (chrome or ffox will do) and log into your router. Look on the router itself, usually on the bottom, for the IP address and default admin login. As long as no one changed them they should work fine.

Once in look for Dynamic IP or DHCP settings. You can also do a power cycle or master reset but be aware that master reset will wipe all settings.

I am not getting any IP conflicts, no device has the same IP. When I tried to get a new IP address from command line I got a "The RPC serve is unavailable" error.

Hmm. I'm not a network guru unfortunately, but one last trick... Have you check the IP settings within windows for your connections themselves? Sometimes the automatic configs that 99% of connections require now get switched for a specific address.

I also did a quick search for an RPC error and turned up this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4494.windows-server-troubleshooting-the-rpc-server-is-unavailable.aspx

Give that a look, it has a good amount of troubleshooting tips.

Your network settings should look like this, unless your ISP requires a specific address setup (dial-in DSL for instance).

Sorry I can't be of more help at the moment, but I'll keep thinking on it.
