Let me explain it very quick before anyone jumps on the whole "Pay to win train"

First off, it's not pay to win and here's why

Warframe is all about action...not really any story to be honest...just jump in, do missions and kill things....and it's great action.
It's also about going out and collecting resources.
Different planets contain different resources.
You also in in game credits for doing missions (very easy to get these)
You then use the credits you bought to buy a blue print

Say you buy a blue print for a weapon....a boltor for example, well you then use the resources you collected to make this weapon.if you don't have the required ammount then you go out and get what you need.

You then make the weapon.....nice

If you decide to buy a blue print for a character....well....you then need to go and fight a certain  boss a few times to get the parts for a character.

for example, the boss on Venus contains the parts for rhino (great starting character)

You don't pick which parts you get and there are 4 parts. Helmet, system, chassis and ...i forgot the last one.

You will get one part guaranteed each time.

This is what warfarme is all about, going out collecting the resources and building a collection of characters and guns

At first it feels like ages before you get another character as 1 character takes 72 hours to make.....yes that is a drag.

so here's a tip.

Everything you have can be leveled up to 30 which is your gun, character and weapon....whilst your character is in the building process go out and level all your gear up, collect more resources, buy a few more blueprints and get more stuff building whilst your character is in the building process.

Once the initial first build is done you will always have something new yo use if you do it this way.

Now...on to buying things with real money..

You can use real money to buy platinum....you can use platinum to buy stuff in game...weapons and characters......not many people do it this way though and do you know why?

Well as you can see the main objective of the game is to go out and find the resources to build the stuff you want...
If you just buy it then what's the point in playing?

People mainly use platinum to buy extra weapon or character slots.

You will start off with 50 platinum.

Buy a couple of character slots and weapons slots...

Then keep an eye out on the trading chat windows, if you have a weapon mod or character part someone wants, they may buy it off you for platinum...again use the platinum to buy more mods and parts.
