Ssd and harddrive required

Go to solution Solved by Captain_WD,

I want a good ssd, i have a budget of 75$ . What is the best ssd for that kind of money? i will put the OS and every program on it. but anything game-related even steam would be on the hard drive. I have no specific budget for the hard drive. i want it a 1-2 tb hard drive. But the ssd has to be capped at 75$.

and is the kingston v300 any good? also the adata xpg ssd, is it good or not?

Hey amr sameh,

Pretty much any SSD would give you great speeds for regular consumer usage. I would check out reviews and comments about the different brands and models to see which one has the best reputation within your price range.

Regarding the HDD, games rely on storage only for their loading times. FPS and graphis would be the same with pretty much any drive. I would suggest checking out WD Blue and WD Black for good and reliable performance. Here are some links:

thankss, now for the other question. is the adata xpg and the kingston v300 ssds any good?

The Kingston V300 is a great value drive but isn't one of the faster drives. It is one of the better drives for lower budgets. I have no experience with Adata drives.

Maybe you can get the new Crucial BX100.

Please quote if you want a person to reply, they won't get a notification otherwise.

(CPU: Intel 4790k) (GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 WF3OC) (Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS VII RANGER) (RAM: Red Corsair Vengeance Pro 2*8GB 1600MHz) (HDD: WD Green 2TB) (SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB) (CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X) (PSU: Corsair RM750) (Case & Fans: Corsair Obsidian 450D) (Monitor: Asus VX239H)

nvm i will get the 1 tb wd blue as @TechDude stated and i will get the 60gb corsair Ls force ssd. thanks everybody

I don't recommend trying to install an OS and drivers on anything less than 120GB. If you get 60GB you're better off making it a SSD cache.

yeah what  models ? those are just brands

Maybe a little more than $75 but a Samsung 850 EVO 120GB (Bought one a week ago and it is excellent so far) should be good and look into a Caviar Green 2-3TB.

The wake up times on the Green is annoying though. If I stop playing foobar for a while and start to play it again with macros it would play the bit left in the ram, take 5 seconds to wake up the drive and then continue playing. It's a minor thing but if you just want just 1TB of storage definitely go with the blue. Also the BX100 is just 69.99 for 120GB.
