Tips on Wireless Routers?

The router that comes internet provider is complete crap but I have no idea what makes a 'good' wireless router? What specs or online benchmarks should I be looking at and what will that tell me about the router? Basically I'm a complete noob at shopping for a router and can't tell a difference between two routers except for how long the antennas are, the bandwidth and the different bands it comes with.

ac definately.... dual band is nice.... ethernet ports for other acess points.... and long range....

We're all dying slowly
