Hey Guys,

I've looked into setting up VPN's.  I've set one up in Windows 7 but that only allows one user connected.  Therefore, I've been searching for alternatives that will allow multiple users to connect.

Needs:

I need to be able to connect to the server without any client software installed.  (So I need to connect through network connections)

I need to be able to connect 5+ Devices

I need it to be free

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks very much.

I will also continue my search.

You won't be getting such a thing for free mate.

You gotta pay for it.

Is one able to connect to a VPN on their router without any client software?  Through DD-WRT or Tomato.

There are free VPN's out there, just have mostly USA servers or logs.

I found one solution.  It's called SoftEther.  It's really easy to setup and works well.  It also supports the VPN Client that come with windows (L2TP) which is good cause then I can connect phones and stuffs.

Are you using paid version of Softether because what you are saying means softether is compatible with windows, phones and stuff it does not means multi user connection.. Free VPN doesn't need to provide because its free and you can install it and use it on all stuffs without any credentials.. Only paid VPNs such as IPVanish, PureVPN, ExpressVPN provides simultaneous connections with same credentials which you can use on windows, phones and other stuff with same login details.

Softether is open source.  You can have as many simultaneous users (and user configurations) as you want.
