the podcasts I listen to take squarespace and mailroute ads to very weird and dark places. those russel brand spots are tame in comparison.

I think that's his point. Linus is the only one who consistently keeps it serious.

Yeah lol and he sometimes says that he wonders why they keep sponsoring him after his unorthodox presentation of the company.. He clearly hasn't seen some of the others they sponsor :P

I mean this one is from a real real old bit but this was just stuff taken from an ad read and a watcher quickly tossed them together to make a video
