For the past few days I've been having BF4 crash randomly on me as if my GPU was unstable but it's not overclocked.

I have a GTX 970 G1.

First run CCcleaner application cleanup (the normal cleaner option), then run the registry cleaner and reboot. Next, check if you have the latest graphics card driver installed. Then make sure windows is up to date. Then, if none of those helped, reinstall the game.

Have you tried to reinstall game? if not than i would do that before doing anything else.

The game runs but is disconnects form the video device as if its unstable. reinstalling the game won't fix that.

Have you tried re-seating your graphics card? I know it's a long shot but it might be a connectivity issue between the graphics card and motherboard.
