LGA1150 Board with ECC Support

Go to solution Solved by Blebekblebek,

you are looking something with premium price, even the cheapest one.

people over here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/294360-30-help-choose-motherboard-supports

explain better than I do.

don't forget this http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1248409

it's specific for FreeNas

I am currently looking into building my own freeNAS box and want ecc memory and plan on using a low-end i3.

Which (preferably cheap) boards will support this configuration?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: forgot to mention it has to be itx *derp* -from what i've seen the cheapest is 150€ which is absolutely imbalanced (btw, what's the difference between 'imbalanced' and 'unbalanced'?)

Any server grade board that supports ECC is going to run up the bill on the system. Only way to find something under 150 would be to find a used MOBO, which again isn't going to be easy especially on 1150. You may want to look into Sandy/Ivy for a used build that would include the CPU, possibly even RAM.
