thats my build so far..considering swapping out the liquid cooler for a large passive heatsink due to size restraints.

I would go intel if you're going small. Heat output will light that wood on fire. (kidding, but heat WILL be an issue.)

The projects never end in my line of work.

Yeah but i would argue that intel doesnt have as good integrated graphics so if you go intel you will also need to put in a heat-outputting GPU if you want decent performance

My Main Build: NZXT S340 - NZXT Kraken X31 - Crucial MX100 256GB - i5 4460 - Gigabyte Z97P D3 - Kingston HyperX Red 8GB - MSI Nvidia GTX 780 3GB - Corsair LL & HD RGB Fans, Corsair Lighting Node Pro.

Yeah im a little paranoid about heat being a problem which is why i added the liquid cooler :P I wish i had a scanner, i have the basic box already drawn out i just need the 4ft of snow against my workshop door to go away so i can get down there and actually make the bloody thing xD

Because i feel like i should explain some of my part decisions:

As far as Intel vs AMD for my processor, like Meep said it was first about "whats the best graphics i can get on a chip?" since this is going to be used for light-moderate gaming on top of basic computer shit [web browsing and youtubes and whatnot] i need something with intergrated graphics that can run real video games.

So I went off of this article on Forbes http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2014/08/09/amds-latest-kaveri-apus-are-they-ready-for-1080p-gaming/

which also explains my choice of 1866MHz RAM because of its genuine ability to increase your gaming pleasure on an AMD APU.

Despite my beautiful beautiful desktop here in my home office, i am and always have been, a console peasant at heart thanks to my poor friends, and ive done most of my computing life on VGA or DVI signals so gaming at 900p or even 720p is NBD to me :D shit i still watch 240P video on my Galaxy Note 2 without dying inside because thats what im used to mang.
