External SSD only work on Macbook

Go to solution Solved by pwn_intended,

If you currently have nothing on it that needs backing up, I would go ahead and right click on it and initialize it as GPT nd format it as exFAT. Do it on the PC though, not on the Mac.

Edit: another option is to get a program such as Paragon NTFS which lets you use NTFS volumes on the Mac as if they were HFS. It works great for me at work.

Hi, i bought an icy box ib-273stu3 external harddrive inclossure for an old ocz agility 3 ssd. I have a gaming PC and a Macbok Pro.

The problem is that when i use the MS-DOS og the exFAT formats that normally works with windows on my mac, they won't work on my PC.

I can't even fromat the drive. I tried with another external hdd and it worked fine.

Its the unallocated drive in the picture, when i right click on it the only thing visible is Help and preoperties.

Anyone knows what's going on?

When in doubt, re-format.
