choosing between motherboards

hi guys!!

planning to build my own pc stuck with choosing the right mobo
my question is what's the differance between the msi z97 gaming 5 and 7 (i like dragons so that's why i'm going for msi gaming) is the gaming 5 worth the 50$ price difference?

The Layout of the Motherboads are pretty much the Same.

But if you want +6 USB 3.0 on the I/O and want +2 Sata go with Gaming-7 (Which I am using and really enjoy)

Also the Outputs are changed to HDMI x2 and Display Port x1 and you will have 2 USB 2.0 on the I/O

This weekend I was planning on using it on my GPU/RAM (CPU is a Xeon E3-1231 V3 which doesn't OC) but I have heard it makes it easy and the Bios is Really useful and there is a Utility that will let you Do some stuff in Windows that you would do in the Bios

the gaming 7 has some extra goodies, the dragon on it is illuminated for example,...it's not worth an extra 50$ IMHO.

the gaming 7 also got 3x PCIE 3.0 X16 slots...so if you plan on running tripple R9 290's on this it's good to have, otherwise get the gaming 5.
