External hard drive enclosure?
Go to solution
Solved by Captain_WD,
i have 2 hard drives one with family photos and music on it (family pc hard drive) and a almost bare seagate 750gb. what would be a cheap but stll decent solution so i could back up the photos and have extra space for my laptop on the second drive.
Hey Kodey116,
Have you considered a DAS or a NAS?
DAS stands for Directly Attached Storage and works like an external drive, but it has a lot more storage space. The only downside would be that it requires external power (USB is too weak to power it) and is not portable. NAS stands for Network Attached Storage and is basically your local cloud setup. You connect it to your router and have access to it through your network and internet (pretty much like an external hard drive connected to your router via USB, only with many additional features and larger storage capacity).
