Ok so I'm in a bit of a pickle here and unsure what to do. Basically I began modding my GTX 660 by spray painting the plastic a gold colour which has those glitter sparkles in the paint as well (looks really cool btw). Obviously I dismantled the whole heatsink and fan assembly and isolated the plastic on its own, however, since I sprayed indoors, the overspray managed to travel to the pcb which was like 4metres away.

Now there are little gold sparkles all over the pcb when you look closely (even some on the gpu core).

How do I go about cleaning this off and is it harmful if I leave any of it on there?

You can kinda see it in the images below

are they on the die itself? If not I'd just leave them, I doubt they are made of actual metal and are conductive.

btw this is why you spray in a well ventilated area or outdoors. I hope you used some kind of mask, otherwise the inside of your lungs probably looks like your PCB right now.

I had a fan running and all windows open... but the fan was pointed towards the pcb unknowingly  :(

There is also some on the NAND chip-like thingies. Will it be a problem?

looks fine to me. Most types of spray paint aren't conductive, although some black paints contain carbon and some of the metallic paints use metal particles. Those are usually the more expensive types of paint though, so as long as you didn't use anything overly expensive you should be fine. Its not a full coat of paint anyways, just a few sprinkles that don't look like they could bridge any gaps and short out the card. I'd try some rubbing alcohol to clean it up as best you can and just try it out, there's not much more you can do. Make sure you clean the die off properly though.

Ok. I'll give that a go tomorrow and get it cleaned up. Also the die didn't really take that much of a beating because a lot of the old paste was still on it.
